We believe that every word of the 66 books of the Bible, in the original manuscripts, are equally and fully inspired by God, who by the Holy Spirit guided men to compose, with their own styles, vocabulary, personalities, but without error, God’s very own words.

We believe that there is one, and only one, living and true God, who eternally exists in three persons–Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The three are equal in every divine perfection, yet they execute distinct but harmonious offices in the work of creation, providence and redemption.

We believe in God the Father, an infinite, self-existent, ever-living, personal spirit who is perfect in all his attributes and acts. We believe that He is the sovereign creator of all, who governs everything with his power and who has determined everything, and, therefore, knows everything; as the supreme God he transcends his creation in every way, yet at the same time he mercifully cares for his creation and concerns himself in the affairs of this world.

We believe in the deity, virgin birth, perfect humanity, sinless life, substitutionary death, bodily resurrection, and ascension of the Lord Jesus Christ. We believe that he is the only means of salvation from sin, that he perpetually intercedes for his people, and that one day he will personally and visibly return to earth.

We believe in the personality and deity of the Holy Spirit, who convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgement and who regenerates, and sanctifies everyone who in faith believes in Jesus. He indwells, seals, gifts, aids, guides, and empowers believers to live holy lives and to effectively serve in the ministry.

We believe in the personal existence of angels as created spirit beings, some of which are God’s holy ministering spirits, while others, whose leader is Satan, incurred in sin and ever since oppose their creator. We believe that Satan is still active in the world seeking to destroy the souls of man, but one day, he, together with his angels and all who do not believe the gospel, will eternally perish in the lake of fire.

We believe that man was created in God’s image and in holiness, but by voluntary transgression fell from that holy state; consequently every person, though still bearing the image of God, is now a sinner, both, by birth and by choice, void of God’s holiness, enslaved to sin, and inclined to evil; thus, deserving of God’s wrath without defense or excuse.

We believe that the salvation of a sinner is wholly of grace and made possible alone through the substitutionary death of Jesus Christ upon the cross of Calvary; that there is salvation in none other. We believe that the blessings of salvation are made free to all by the gospel, that it is the immediate duty of all to accept them by repentant, and obedient faith; and that nothing prevents the salvation of the greatest sinner on earth, but his own inherent depravity and voluntary rejection of the gospel.

We believe that the great gospel blessing which Christ secures to those who believe in him is Justification; that justification includes pardon for sin, the gift of eternal life, and a perfect standing before God, not in consideration of any works of righteousness which we have done, but solely through faith in our Lord’s sacrifice; by virtue of which faith Christ’s perfect righteousness is imputed to us; and that it secures every other blessing for believers.

We believe that sinners, in order to be saved, must experience regeneration which only God grants by means of the Holy Spirit, whereby the Spirit, at conversion, gives new life to anyone who believes the gospel; that regeneration consists in restoring a person’s intellect, emotions and will, resulting in a changed life characterized by a rejection of sin and a continuous spiritual growth in conformity to the image of Christ.

We believe that repentance and faith are two inseparable, but distinguishable elements, of the one single act of conversion, wrought in our souls by the regenerating work of the Spirit; that both, repentance and faith are gifts of God’s grace; that repentance, being accompanied by an overwhelming sense of sorrow and regret for our sin, is the volitional decision to turn away from our evil acts and sins; and that faith, after an exposure to the gospel and an intellectual understanding and assenting of it, is the volitional decision to embrace Christ and to commit to his cause.

We believe that Sanctification is the process by which we are transformed both, morally and spiritually; that it is a progressive work whereby we are made holy, conformed to the image of Christ; that this work of anctification begins in our salvation as the Spirit delivers us from the law and slavery of sin, and continues throughout our lives as the Spirit, who indwells us, empower us to walk not according to the flesh but according to the Spirit, in conformity to God’s Word.

We believe that eternal security is the work of God by which he guarantees that the believer will not lose the salvation he has received; that because of God’s power and work of preservation, who promises that he will bring our salvation to completion, the believer in Christ will persevere, through faith, until the end; and that their persevering attachment to Christ is the mark which distinguishes them from superficial professors.

We believe in the universal church, a living organism composed of born again believers from every nation and every local congregation, who are placed in the body of Christ through the baptism of the Holy Spirit. We believe in the local church, a congregation of immersed believers, associated by a covenant in the faith and fellowship in the gospel, observing the ordinances of Christ, governed by His laws; and exercising the gifts, rights and privileges invested in them by His Word; that its officers are elders/pastors, and deacons whose qualifications, claims and duties are clearly defined in the Scriptures; that the purpose of the church is to publicly worship God, edify its members; and evangelize the lost.

We believe that the Lord has committed two ordinance in the local church, baptism and the Lord’s supper; that baptism is the immersion of the believer in water, in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit; that the Lord’s supper was instituted by Christ to commemorate his death, and that both ordinances should be observed until the return of our Lord Jesus Christ.

We believe that every individual has direct dealings with God, and is responsible to God alone in all matters of faith; that each church is independent and must be free from interference by any ecclesiastical or political authority; that therefore Church and State must be kept separate as having different functions, each fulfilling its God given duties free from dictation or patronage of the other.

We believe that local churches can best promote the cause of Jesus Christ by cooperating with one another in a denominational organization. Such an organization, whether a regional or district fellowship, exists and functions by the will of the churches. Cooperation in a fellowship is voluntary and may be terminated at any time.

This church is affiliated to the North East Fellowship of Independent Baptist Churches and may likewise cooperate with other churches of like faith.

We believe in the personal, visible, pre-millennial, pre-tribulation return of our Lord for His Church and in His post-tribulation return in glory to reign for a thousand years upon the earth and then continue throughout eternity; in the bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust, the everlasting blessedness of the saved and the everlasting conscious suffering of the lost.
